WNHL Playoffs Start Jan. 22nd!

The pathway to glory is paved with the upcoming battle of the next nine games starting on January 22nd 2025. The eyes of a city narrow their focus on Welland and Pelham’s arenas to see who will be the next King Street Cup Champion!

Here is some reminders entering the playoff series

  • Respect for your fellow players and future and past teammates is always key in the WNHL, even as playoff intensity builds in the King Street Cup Finals.
  • We are off March 12th 2025 for March Break – Keep an eye out for a WNHL Mayhem Tournament that evening for those who are not on vacation that week.
  • The Merritt Islanders have one point for the playoffs as winners of the WNHL In-Season Tournament
  • You will play each team once for the first 7 weeks and week 8 of the play-offs it is a “Pick Your Poison” selection. The Top 4 teams from the regular season will get to pick who they play from the bottom four teams. Going from 1st to 4th selection order.
  • There will be hats, not only will you get the King Street Cup, the champagne, the glory, Jackfish Game Feature, you will now get Hats for this year’s champs. Designed none other – Pete the Heat Voynovich.
  • Tiebreaker is Points, Wins, Playoff Head-to-Head, Goal Differential
  • The WNHL Championship will be on March 22nd 2025 at the Welland Main Arena starting with a family skate at 4pm. Than the Toilet Bowl Game, The Pizza Bowl Game and Burger Bowl Game and the Championship Game.
  • We are looking for door and raffle prizes to raise money for the United Way at the WNHL Championship. It would be great to raise $1100 at the WNHL Championship to bring our yearly charity total to $10,000! Which is absolutely insane and everyone has their finger prints on this success, thank you again.
  • WNHL Fantasy – Scotty Scumbag is counting the points and we should have a cool $100 to our winner on January 22nd and another $100 to Open Arms Mission.

Hitmen rock the WNHL Christmas Classic 2024

The Hooker Street Hitmen squeaked into the championship game on the backs of their food donation count and never looked back to claim their Championship Hats for the 2024 WNHL Christmas Classic. The tournament brought the best of the WNHL again as all four teams rallied to donate 3400 pounds of food for Open Arms Mission. We also did other things we excel at, have a good time, play some hockey and eat some Rex Hotel Pizza!!! Thanks to our sponsors the Rex Hotel and Presstime Design and Screen-printing. A special thank you to our volunteers who helped move all the donated food and handle registration.
